The weekend comes! What’s in your schedule?

 

A

a) Relaxed breakfast, shopping trip, lunch and seeing friends for dinner.

B

b) Busy weekend with things to do, but I make time for a relaxed family dinner and a walk on Sunday.

c) Running the kids around, housework, errands and if I am lucky, we will order in take-away and I’ll sit down around 9pm!

When people mention ‘selfcare’ – what does selfcare mean to you?

a) I am all over it! I make time to wind-down to feel calm and relaxed. It’s a non-negotiable in my life.

B

b) I have an occasional treatment here and there, when I remember, but it’s once in a blue moon.

c) It means nothing! I simply do not have the time for it. I am generally too busy working or looking after others.

How disconnected have you felt from yourself in the last 2 years?

a) Not really. I invest in myself and know what makes me happy. I make time for my self-development and my interests.

b) Yes, sometimes. I would love to know myself even more and learn more about me as an individual so I can really start to live life fully.

c) Very! I feel like I have lost my identity, feel stuck and a little lost. I’d love to understand myself more and learn who I am.

a) Yes, I think so. I am in touch with my qualities and my gifts and I’d love to develop them more!

b) A little. I have an idea, but I haven’t done any self-development work in years, so it could be I have evolved in new ways.

c) No! I know I do have some, but what they are, is a mystery to me. I’d love to understand more so I can apply my talents and strengths.

Do you have a passion/s that is just yours, and yours only?

a) Yes! I have several interests and I ensure I make time for them. They help me feel energised and happy.

B

b) Sort of. I see my friends occasionally and go to an exercise or yoga class now and again, but I have to really plan it in advance.

c) No, sadly. Even if I knew what it would be, which I don’t, I think I would struggle to fit in time to enjoy it.

What fuels your day? How is your exercise and nutrition?

 

A

a) I am mindful about how well I eat, and my food is generally wholesome and nutritious, and I am conscious about drinking water throughout the day.

B

b) I drink a few cups of coffee and some water throughout the day. I occasionally eat treats, but it’s fairly average: some good, some bad.

C

c) I tend to eat on the run. I maybe drink too much caffeine, and when things are busy and, on the go, I’ll eat sugary snack to give me a boost. Some days, I may not eat.

How do you feel about your general health and wellness?

 

A

a) I work out three times a week, I sleep well, and I feel I have a good work/life balance.

B

b) I try to get to the gym a couple of times a week, I have a few late nights here and there, and my weight can fluctuate but it’s pretty much under control. I try and meditate with an app to help me relax.

C

c) I haven’t time for physical exercise in the week, and weekends I am running errands. My weight has crept up and it takes a while to nod off, and I sometimes wake in the night. I feel pretty lethargic. I can feel frazzled and tired a lot.

How is your relationship with friends, family and loved ones?

 

A

a) We see each other regularly, I am sociable and meet friends, and it’s important for me to make time for my loved ones.

B

b) Sometimes it can be hard, but I make sure I go on dates when I can, and see my friends once a week, and plan special occasions with my family so they are booked out in the diary.

C

c) Monday – Friday is really busy with work and other commitments, so I don’t get to go out or see friends. I see my family whenever I have time to visit them. I have lost touch with some friends and date nights are impossible.

How do you feel about your goals and dreams?

 

A

a) I feel positive about them. I know what I want to achieve in my business and personal life, and I feel confident, supported and intentional about the actions I can take.

B

b) So-so. I have some ideas around what I would like to achieve, but sometimes life gets in the way and my visions and goals fall by the wayside. I know what I would love to achieve but maybe not sure how to get there.

C

c) No idea! I struggle with having the head space to even think about what my goals are. I haven’t ever set goals and wouldn’t know how to work towards them. Lack of time.

When you think about your life generally, how does it make you feel?

 

A

a) I feel good. I feel in control. I feel happy. I work hard, but I also play hard and I make time for me and the things I love.

B

b) I feel okay. I know I could be doing more, creating more, making more money, and making more space for living my hopes and dreams, but I feel okay.

C

c) I feel pretty lack-lustre, I feel a little stuck and unsure of my next moves. I feel like I have lost sight of what makes me happy and fulfilled. I know there is more to life but could do with some help finding it.
